Empleo: VALIDATION MANAGER

International engineering company needs to incorporate:

VALIDATION MANAGER

Accountable to address regulations and customer specifications in structures and installations, design risk assessment -FMEA, develop the validation plan and deploy lessons learnt and field analysis.

Reports to Group Engineering Director.

Key tasks:

• Develop and deploy the Validation strategy reflecting the wider business strategy, global demand and optimal utilization of resources
• Accountable for setting and maintaining the Validations standards for the group
• REGULATIONS AND CUSTOMER SPECIFICATIONS: Understand the requirements to be applied in the products on a global base. Define the interpretation and rules for application within the group. Clarified with authorities the interpretation and application when needed. Establish preferred relation with regulation authorities, participate in working discussion groups, and lobby our interest into new regulations. Support sales offices and design engineering in the discussion about regulations. Prepare standard requirement documents easy to use and understand.
• DESIGN RISK ASSESSMENT – FMEA:  Define procedures to determine the potential hazard, failure modes, evaluation on severity and probability to happen and determine the appropriate verification and/or countermeasure to eliminate or mitigate the risk on design to be taken into account. Implement training teams, make standards and diffuse them.
• VALIDATION PLAN: Base on previous evaluation design prepare a validation plan to be signed. Define Critical Characteristics linked to the risk assessment and define appropriate Design control Plan and Standard Templates. Support the design organization in their studies to evaluate appropriate tolerance values for the parameters. Provide independent criteria to non-conformities and coordinate sign off the deviations and countermeasures to be applied.
• FIELD ANALYSIS: Implement the process to cluster, classify and analyze the design issues found on field. Implement the process to cluster and classify the main problems found on commissioning.
• LESSONS LEARNT:  Implement the procedures to compile the different non-conformities and deviations found during design process. Implement a system to make Root cause analysis, establish containment actions and long term actions to avoid problems in the future.

The position requires:

• Degree in Ingeniería Mecánica, Materiales or other equivalent qualification
• Experience of managing Engineering and Quality departments
• Strong Quality experience at a managerial level
• Knowledge of integrated systems and quality approach
• Experience of contract compliance, risk identification, risk mitigation and risk management
• Proficient in English (Español nativo)
• Experience with international organization, multiple regions and multiple product lines
• Ten years of working in a variety of complex manufacturing and operations cultures
• Experience in managing complex Supply Chain to deliver against service levels and business expectations.
